Annita has over 15 years' experience as a freelance cartographer, and has created maps for academic publications, community organizations, and public awareness. She has also worked to support Indigenous mapping initiatives, led art-based mapping workshops in various communities, and worked on several projects utilizing maps to combat extractive industries. Her specialties include mapping Indigenous narratives, mapping for social justice, art-based mapping, critical & Indigenous cartography, and mapping geographies of violence.
